The Core-7 System: Simple, Flexible, Fun
The Total CORE
The world as you know it is about to change. Once, there were role-playing systems that were packed full of rules that read like a tech manual from opening to end. You used to run out and buy every additional book that became available for the system too. Once you had all of the books, you realized that when you were GMing a session, it had to be held at your house. We were there with you. We spend hundreds on these books and never actually read them cover to cover. Why? Because we never needed all of the rules that were in them. If we used them all, the game felt constricted, as if we were playing someone else’s version and not our own. So, we decided to do away with three-fourths of the rules and develop house rules to compensate. Why? Why even bother?

Our latest endeavor, CORE-7, releases you from the burden of rules and gives you freedom. Yes, there are rules, but they are more of a guideline to a greater set of rules: your imagination. CORE-7 will deliver to you a set of simple, fast, and fun rules set that will allow you to create ANY setting you desire. Now, you will have to add your own creativity and imagination, as well as, the ability to make decisions. All sets of rules, whether you’re own or someone else’s, are based on decisions. Everyone has their own idea of how something should be accomplished, so why not let them make that decision from the beginning? So we have!

CORE-7 is unique, because it utilizes only two dice and one roll. You never need anything other than a set of percentiles. That’s right: only percentiles. From these two little dice we will deliver an exciting, fast paced system that is based solely on individual creativity and imagination. One roll – One out come, for everything. Skill, spells or powers are created by your, the player, and no one else. How could we even imagine the spell you wanted to create, we are not you. As for skills, you pick them from somewhere deep inside your mind, creating skill trees to enhance your character’s abilities. You have total control over them. There are no levels, no limits, and every attribute is important. Don’t just take our word for it, experience it for yourself.

CORE Combat
Did you ever hear of a combat system in role-playing where you didn’t have time to breathe? Well, CORE-7 delivers that. From the moment combat is declared, the action doesn’t let up. Every character goes on their action, regardless of how many people are involved. Every character has an offensive roll and a defensive roll to perform. Ah, two rolls you say-- NO! One is performed for an attack and the other to avoid the attack, two different people. What CORE-7 delivers is a roll that gives you your percentage chance to hit and damage, all at the same time. There is never any need to roll a second time, making combat fast. Everyone is involved in combat from the players to the Visionary. Everyone is rolling in one form or another, so there is never a moment for boredom. Each character is allowed so many actions during a combat turn.

The action starts with the players stating their actions. Then, the fastest character goes first. They will describe what they plan to do during that turn. Then each player, one after the other, will describe what they will attempt as well. Once everyone has described their actions, the actions area carried out. There is not a chance to change your mind until your next action. Anyone who hesitates is passed by until their next action. As the players get used to how the actions work, their participation gets faster and faster, each trying to out-maneuver their opponents. There are more aspects to combat; like how a character loses their life points or what part does armor and weapons play. These are all explained in the CORE-7 book. If you are looking for a thick book full of specific rules and regulations, you’re looking at the wrong system. We require participation from your imagination to get this system into gear.
